Default Racetronix kit 99+ install

Not super impressed with the kit so far, personally. It went in rather easy, not too tough to get it on the alternator.

These are my problems with the kit:

1. The relay does not fit where they say you should install it on a 00 w/ TCS. I saw another picture of where someone else didn't put the relay where it was supposed to be and it seemed that they the same looking brake lines as mine. The relay simply does not clear the lines. They bracket that holds the relay would need to be extended about a 1/2" to 1" to allow it to fit. Racetronix aparently does not know it doesn't fit there because he told the other person to put it where they recommend.

2. The instructions page doesn't work. Got the username and password and everything, and it doesn't work. I have no idea if the instructions would help or speed things up at all, but I don't know 'till I've seen them

Also, since I bought the whole system (in-tank pump and wiring) apparently you have to install the whole kit at once and can't do the hot wire first and run that until you actually need the pump. If I am mistaken please someone tell me as I'd rather not drive around with it zip tied up and the weatherpak ends open. Maybe I am expecting too much of a the kit, but just wanted to share.

The relay does fit at that bracket. I just finished my install yesterday. If you put the relay and ground behind the bracket, it will clear.

I attempted to put it under the bracket and it still interefered with the lines enough I didn't feel like trying to tighten it down.

You dont have to do the pump and wiring at the same time. I did the pump first, and just hooked it into the stock connectors and drove it around for a couple days then did the wiring harness. Or you can do the harness first then the pump. Just leave harness unplugged. The person who put the relay somewhere else is probably me. I havent moved it yet but will soon. If it doesnt fit on that bracket I will just drill a hole nearby and use a sheetmetal screw or something.

Don't let the open ends hang open as they will corrode.
The relay does fit on the bracket. Perhaps your lines are pushed back and need to be pulled forward a bit?

The instruction link user/pass has changed because some joker posted it on this forum when it clearly states in bold red type in our e-mail not to. If you need access e-mail support@racetronix.com.

There are 1000's of these systems in use now with a VERY high satisfaction and reliability rate.

I am not disasatisfied with the kit, but the instructions had me a little peeved and every pic you had of the relay was not a picture of how it is setup on my car. If you maybe had a picture of it actually on a TCS car with the double brake lines on that bracket I may of spent more then 10 minutes and 3 trips to the computer trying to get it to fit on there.

Sounds like maybe a float arm problem...if so the tank is going to have to come back down to check.

Why is it that No one gets instructions with the Ractronix Fuel Pump Kit???

I to did not get them either, had to do a few searches and looking as well. Love the set up though, great system and easy install.

I think if RACETRONIX is a sponsor they shoulg put a copy up as a STICKY and then they could update and control it. This would be a great help to all.

I got mine about 2 weeks ago... instructions WERE included. Installed it last week, only problem was caused by me and not because of the kit( headers + Wires touching = no good ) The kit is very nice and the install takes a while but everything is pretty obvious once you get started.

Perhaps a dealer forgot to bundle them with the kit?
Sometimes they are shipped bulk / separate.
