how long is C16 in a drum good for once its opened?

Default how long is C16 in a drum good for once its opened?

just wondering. like the title says, how long is C16 fuel good for before it starts droping octane once its opened and introducted to oxygen? i am thinking about buying a drum.

Just keep it cool and tightly sealed and it will last a couple years or more, I have let 1/2 used drums of c-16 sit for over the winter and used it the next year with no problem. You will go through a drum pretty quick if you race the car a couple times a month, when its just sitting there it gets used

One season, many C16 racers won't use gas that is over a year old that has been open.

Remember, 55 gallon drum = 10 fillups.

When I run I put in 10 gallons, since I don't want to uncover the external fuel pumps.

one year would be PLENTY. i doubt my drum would last that long at all. lol

Trust me when you pay 8-10.00 a gallon for that stuff and there is a year old drum sitting there half empty 'most' racers I know would pour it right in their car LOL
