Default dual walbro's w/ turbo

i posted this in fueling, but got no response-
what do you guys think about running 2 external mount 255's in paralell to eachh other. trying to support aprox 700 hp w/ the turbos. seems like lots of people are having trouble w/ the "fancy pumps" like aeromotive and i like the thought of an oem style pump. just seems like they would last. also if one goes out i could still make it back to camp.
any comments please
thx mark

We've done what you describe and they've been good to around 850rwhp on a turbo car so far. (but I would suspect they would be good to around 1000).

We have used them on our turbo SS Silverado with good results. I have 30,000 miles on mine.

i think you are right on target.

however i believe that two in tank pumps would be cheaper and quieter

Why not run the intake and the other external?

They need to run in paralell, VS Series... In serires you still have 255L per hour.. in Paralell you have 510..

not exactly.. flow is inversely proportional to pressure

pumps in series divide the pressure between them. for example at 60psi you can say the 2 pumps flow what one pump would flow at 30psi.. so its more like 350lph

inline pumps are if holding pressure is a problem (say if you have to crank the pressure up to overcome small injectors), and parallell is if you are running normal pressures and just need more fuel

I believe having 2 255L per hour pumps in series will flow still the same amount of fuel, however work about 1/2 as hard to get to that point..

the 255L per hour pumps of course do not allways flow that much, that just what they are rated at MAX as far as flow.. Having them in series will push close to what they are rated for.. Pararell course a different story..

no, they will flow more than one pump alone at a given pressure.

who would care how 'hard' they worked as long as they continued working?

i would start paying close attention to the fuel pressure gauge around 550rwhp, of course you should always pay attention to it
