Default Any Kenne Bell boost-a-pump users?

Tell me about your setup and how this product has worked for you. How about RWHP, fuel pump, injector size, N/A, FI, displacement, etc.

Thanks!

Trying to decide to go with the BAP with my Welbro 255 or a complete fuel setup. Tell me your thoughts!!

I had a single 255 + a MSD BAP (I would recommend the KB though) and front mounted regulator and it worked OK, but the fuel pressure was dropping off pretty good at high RPM at the 550rwhp (TH400 8" converter) mark and that was about it.

I switched to a dual in tank 255 setup and now the fuel pressure never moves with the injectors at 99% now at 600rwhp. Still on stock fuel lines.

But I would wire it so only one pump runs full time and the other is kicked on with a hobbs switch or something if you do a lot of street driving. The pumps really seem to work hard when they are both running.

I thought the MSD unit was better for FI? Why recommend the KB?

The MSD when turned down all the way and vacuum on it put out like 15v, I really didnt like that. if you turned it up where it would go up to 17v @ 12psi of boost the pump was running at almost 16v at idle. Thats not what the instructions said it should do, I gave up trying to contact MSD about it. The KB stays at 14v (I had one a few years ago) and with a hobbs switch it ups the voltage a certain amount, its a little more abrupt then the MSD but the pump got pretty hot at 16v and the longer you drove the more the fuel pressure dropped. I dont know if it would really hurt anything but I didnt like it.

Plus the KB has a remote **** you can put in the car to adjust the voltage boost so you can fine tune quick if you have a WB in the car.

I have one and I took it off because it barely helped. I only got another 400rpm before I ran out of fuel. Might work better on a less modified motor.

I am running BAP with Walboro 255 on my GTO 480/450 with 42lb injectors Vortech S2 kit. I am adding Alkycontrol this week and will be looking to put down 500 to the wheels on 91 octane. BAP helped some durning tune. Car was tuned by Jeff Creech.
