If the car really has 0 psi fuel pressure it wouldn't start and certainly wouldn't idle. Is this a rail mounted gauge?

Is the gauge on an isolator? If it has that crappy Autometer isolator, then you probably have to go through the whole purging of the air and filling with water (or what ever it is they use). Before doing all that, make sure you get any air out of the fuel line, that might be your cause there. If you are not running an isolator, and feel really lucky by not running one, then make sure your have fuel going to the gauge. You probably have an air bubble in the gauge itself. BTW, 60 PSI of fuel in your face isn't fun, be careful if you do not have an isolator.

Is the schrader valve removed or does your gauge not require it to be removed?
