Fuel pump hotwire + volt blaster necessary?

Default Fuel pump hotwire + volt blaster necessary?

If you wire up a hotwire from the alt, would a voltage blaster even be necessary? What i'm saying is, would the volt blaster add any gains to an already hotwired pump?

I think your referring to the MSD voltage booster... Or something similar. If its anything like that it will provide voltage above battery level. While the hotwire will only gaurantee battery voltage.

No, I'm actually talking about the Casper V-plus volt booster that raises the whole cars voltage at wot, not the expensive MSD or KB fuel pump boosters.

No, it wouldn't yield enough of a gain. Just get the Casper's Fuel Pump Hotwire Kit.

I should have added this is for a Racetronix PNP kit, with the hotwire.

It all depends on how close the pump's output is to meeting your fuel requirements at the current voltage level with a bit of a safety margin. A volt-blaster is a good idea but will not net the same gains as a dedicated pump booster.

The Racetronix harness comes with a pump-booster interface point and connector set as standard equipment. It also includes upgraded battery nuts and a body ground cable.

Do these LS1 cars really need the hot wire kits ? do they have bad or poor wiring from GM like the GNs ?

They are not as bad as the GNs but they still have voltage loss so the harness does improve pump performance. This benefit increases with the load on the vehicle electrical load and the pump's current demands. The harness also allows a booster to be installed as a PnP upgrade vs. splicing it into the marginal factory wiring.

Can the harness be bought separately? I have a Walbro 255 and I don't want to splice any wires.
