Default pump screaming

I've got a 2002 ws6 m-6 here lately it seems the car has lost alot of power and the pump sounds like a supercharger runnin back there. The car has 107,000 miles on it buit i just changed the plugs out at 96,000 when i had a new clutch put in. The ses light came on about 2 months ago and stayed on for about a month but the car seemed to run fine. But now that the light has gone off it seems like the pump has gotten extremely loud and the car feels like a four cylinder. I just changed the fuel filter today and that seemed like it helped alot but the pump is just as loud and the car just doesent feel like its pullin quite a shard as it should. Could it be the pump itself or maybe the plug wires /coils or a combo of both???? any help ???????

oh and as far as wires go are the Taylor 10.4 mm a good choice??? and as far as coils how about the new Msd coils I've seen a few mags. and seen where ppl have been using GMs 6.0 coils which would be best?????? or could something else be causing this problem???

Sounds like it could be more of a pump issue. If you can have the computer scanned and see what codes are in there, even if the SES light is off there is a good chance the codes will be stored in the history.
