Running Fat I'm a newbee to all this ls stuff, but here goes---Just finished buildin a 32 ford 3 window with an LS1 in it, tried to fire yaesterday---She lit up but was running so fat that it was dumpin raw fuel out of the headers. Have an external pump with aeromotive pressure regulator with return #aei 13301. Set up a line pressure guage and preset at 55 lbs. Ihave to turn the ignition switch 3 or 4 times before the line pressure comes up to the 55lbs. When it fires the line pressure jumps to 70+ lbs. Also there is a small fitting on the pressure reg ,is this for a vacumn line of is it a pressure bleed off? Man, washing a set of plugs @ $70 a set is gonna get really costly. H E L P !!!!!
What plugs cost $70 ?
Anyway, you can save your plugs by hitting them for a few minutes with a propane torch to cook the fuel out of the insulators. If they are coated with oil/soot you may want to sand-blast them first.
Should be a vacuum line. Normally when you hook vacuum to a regulator the pressure will come down. I'd talk to Aeromotive about adjusting it to where you want it.
