fuel rail/ "pulse regulator" questions
HI:
One of my LS1 engines is a '99 vette engine. The fuel rail on it has a "pulse regulator" that has a tube coming off of it. (This is that stubby cylinder thing in between the 2 banks of fuel rails)
1- is this tube a vacuum tube? can it be hooked anywhere on the intake manifold?
2- Will this "pulse regulator" serve as the fuel pressure regulator? Is it a fancy name for a fuel pressure regulator? or do I need to add a separate fuel pressure regulator?
3- can I switch this out with a pulse regulator that does not have the vacuum line on it? I have not seen any other of these LS1 fuel rails with the hose/ vacuum line on it, so it baffles me.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
-BV

I do not know why it has a vacuum line on it but it is just a pulser which does nothing for the fuel pressure. Unless someone replaced it with an 97-98 regulator. But your regulator is in the tank.
