MAF affects fuel pressure?

MAF affects fuel pressure? My shop who built my motor had a problem getting proper fuel pressure. After dropping the tank and checking the pump, and everything else and finding no issues, the SLP 85mm MAF I bought seems to be the culprit. After it was replaced with the stock one the fuel pressure was good. Anyone have that problem? I have never heard about it.
i don't know about this... but i'm assuming that the MAF only detects air coming in and controls the fuel...not the pressure. you have a fuel pump, a fuel filter, the lines and the injectors. i could be wrong though.
thats what i thought, maybe the installer found something else that was wrong and it was something stupid that they should have thought of, but they let you believe it was the MAF

It's not a big deal to me, at least the motor is finally running.
