On a motor with internal fuel pressure regulator that needs at minimum 45 PSI..Can I get the 60 PSI fuel pump and let the regulator do it's job? If I use the 60 PSI pump will it put stress on the regulator and make the regulator fail? thanks

255l walbro would be a start...plumb it into the factory lines and regulator and monitor the pressure...may be all you'll need. If the pressure jumps to +50 psi, you will need an aftermarket regulator to control the pressure. I'd start simple though.
