whats this wire?
whats this wire? I pulled up the carpet that covers the big flat area behind the rear seat. There is some tar on each side and I scraped some of it and there seems to be a wire there. Whats the wire for?
And...is it safe to drill holes/put screws in the metal where the arrow points too(where the back of the back seats would normally be)?
Found a good pic from underneath. Doesnt look like I would hit the gas tank but not sure what else is there.

Looks like you are on the drivers side rear seat back panel. There's a bulkhead wiring harness back there for the fuel pump, gas gauge,etc.
Should be ok to drill there, but I would the first hole very slowly and not jam it through the panel....just barely let it cut through with a small drillbit and look at where it came out under the car as there are some lines running under that panel....just take your time and you'll be fine.
