Default Fuel System Upgrade Help

on on my ms3 cammed ported head car im running the stock fuel system with the exception of 42lb injectors

i have plans to spray the car with a 150 shot here soon

WHAT UPGRADES DO I NEED TO PERFORM TO MY FUEL SYSTEM TO ALLOW IT TO BE UP TO THE TASK ?

well, personally I would get a race tronic and a boostapump, or you could just add one of nitro daves standalone units and 110 octane. And as a bonus you get to not have to pull timing

got any info on the stand alone idea... i kinda like the idea...


but what do i NEED... just a better pump.. are my lines and fuel rails ok ?

idk about upgrading the lines... when to do it but in the top of the fuel and injection section here I have a sticky where you can calculate what injectors you will need .. NOTE: make changes for application (such as FI or what not)

You could also go the Racetronix route, which would be good for around 600 rwhp.

so if i do the receonex kit i could be good on spray (100 shot) (motor=450rwhp +100 n20 =550rwhp)???

it should be, a friend is putting 620rwhp out now and its fine, if not you could always use the boost a pump that comes with it and boost the 12v on the racetronix pump up to i think it is 18v?

whew, matt that is like 150.00 cheaper than no2 outlet, but what is up with the blowdown tube style feed line? 6an? could it be changed to a 90 off the tank, 45 off the pump, and a custom bradied piece? or is the pick up one piece? I am buying one of the two by aug, can you pm me some more info?

Yes, 6an. You could use a shot piece of braided if you wanted to. Also comes with fuel pump brackets so the fuel pump is not hanging by the pump wires. The hose inside the fuel tank is the OEM style accordion hose and then all the hose that is supplied with the kit is easy to assemble Teflon hose, so you won't get the fuel vapor fumes like with rubber braided hose.

i just installed my racetronix PnP kit.... now I simply replaced the fuel pump....and now why would I need to use their wiring that comes with the pump? doesn't that wiring put 12v to the pump.... and doesn't the stock wiring do the same thing?

Stock wiring harness does not provide the added voltage to the pump that the hotwire kit provides. Run the harness.

wait, so the pump as is now with the stock wiring will put 12v at it and it won't pump 255l/hr? you must use their wiring kit to boost up the voltage more so that the pump will put out 255l/hr

, and then if need be use the extra boost a pump to add even more voltage?

if you look at all of the wiring in the 'hot wire kit from racetronix' it is basically the same damn thing as the stock wiring but with the ability to add in the 'boost a pump' the voltage drop at WOT make sense from reading that on their webpage but I looked at the wiring kit myself and I don't see the point in installing it unless I will need the boost a pump....??

You won't be getting the full potential out of the pump with out it. It's no where near the same as the factory harness.

I have a similar set-up to yours and I'm running a racetronix p&p with 42lbs. injectors as well.
