Default 42# injectors enough for ~600 whp?

I'm not the best with those calculators.

Set-up: Racetronics pump/hot wire kit, fuel rails, regulator and stock lines (except for the rail lines).

I am having trouble selling my brand new green top 42#ers. Can I use them on an 8psi t-76 kit? I am looking for 550ish whp.

Thanks.

you'll need 60's, Maxxed out my 42's at 500 rwhp. If you have a boost reference FPR you might be able to get 600 out of them.

x2 on the 60 pounders.

I'm only running 5psi on an Incon kit right now, but I knew I'd need the 60's anyway pretty soon. Boost gets addicting from what I hear.

A lot of the Mustang people with their smaller cubed forced induction engines, and many LS non forced inductioned cars use the 42 lb injectors. You really should be able to sell them pretty easily, if the price is reasonable. Bob

ive made about 650-700rwhp with mine with about 80psi worth of fuel pressure.
600rwhp isnt to hard to do with them, thats about the limit id use them for though, you just need to have a boost ref regulator.

Used? That is dirt cheap if they were brand new GREEN TOP bosch injectors. I paid a little over $340 for them brand new off of ebay from a very reputable vendor.

Is sold mine for $280 shipped. I think my customer will be very happy, and I lost my *** after shipping and whatnot.

I am going with 60 pounders, a racetroics kit, nice rails and a boost referenced FPR. We'll see how it works.

42# on a boosted car are going to be pushing it at that hp level your deffinatly not going to be at the 85% duty cycle your suposed to be unless you want to run a huge amount of fuel pressure I would just get bigger injectors.

I was planning to go with 42 lbers for my heads/cam dry N2O setup. Should be around 430-450 on motor, and then a 100-150 rwhp dry shot. I was pretty sure they would be sufficent, especially since the stock 28s are doing the trick at 457rwhp on the 100 shot now. Someone correct me if I am wrong....

you're wrong, if you're pushing 450+ on stockers, you are WAY WAY past what you're supposed to be on them.
play with this spreadsheet, it will give you a good idea on where you should be at:

I'm wrong in what? Thinking that 42lbers will work? Or for the stock ones making 457rwhp on the dry shot?

I don't know the duty cycle of the injectors on that run, but I know that the A/F was a super safe 11.8. No big deal though, I'm going heads/cam within a few weeks and new injectors will also be going in just prior to the dyno tune.

So in your opinion, will the 42s be good enough for what I will have? Heads/cam making 430-450, and a 100-150 dry on top of that.
