Default Electric fuel pressure sending unit question..

It may be a dumb question, but I'm wondering if a 0-100PSI oil pressure sending unit can be used in place of a fuel pressure sending unit?

I can get a really good deal on an electric oil pressure gauge setup that will read 0-100 PSI, any reason this can't be installed on the fuel rail instead?

A pressure transducer is a pressure transducer. As long as you don't interchange reference voltage ranges I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I was kinda wondering if the diaphragm material for oil transducers would hold up to gasoline.
