fuel pump being loud

lately i've been getting a loud whizzing sound from my fuel pump. Anyone know what this means? is it going bad?

Is it stock? How long have you had it on the car? Aftermarket fuel pumps have been known to make noise.

My walbro is loud as hell... its brand new and the car drives fine.

there's a good chance it's going out then. I know that's probably not what you want to hear, but I've had a fuel pump (stock,high milage) all of a sudden get noisy and it went out.

That should not be happening. I thought you talking about an inline pump.Those are pretty loud...
