16 volt setups...for 160lb injectors

16 volt setups... Does a person need to run a 16 volt setup for 160lb injectors to run better or can you run te 160's on regular 12 volt charging system?

To my knowledge 160's are fine with a 12v system and they will just be able to open faster with a higher voltage potentially extending their range a bit. This would be ecu dependant as its possible that some ecu's may limit the supply voltage to the injector, but unlikely as most are just wired for straight system voltage and their ground's switched. There are many 160's running on 12v systems in the field. You could call Precision Turbo and ask for an voltage/response scale for the injectors in question.

Also consider that 96# is at 40 psi I believe. If you run 60 psi then they are about 118#/hr.

I say 40 psi because they are in the FordRacing catalog and their injectors run @ 39.5 psi.
