Aeroquip Socketless users inside. I am using Aeroquip Socketless hose for my fuel system and having one hell of a time making these lines. Does anyone have any tips on getting the hose over the barbs easier? Brute force w/ my hands barely got them together. Should I use a vice or something? The 90* fittings are a pain because there isn't much to push on.

They are a bitch thats for sure, especially the larger sizes. I used to have a bench mount tool at our old shop for pushing A/C hoses together before crimping them and that worked great on the socketless stuff. All I have is a vise and sore hands when I do them now 
I believe there is a tool made for installing the ends on the hose. I think i've seen it in Summit or Jegs before.
In the past, I've found the best way is to use a bench vise, spun 90 degrees from where it would typically be when not in use. Put a rag or cloth in the jaws around the connector but don't tighten it much at all. Butt the larger portion of the fitting up against the side of the vise jaws and push with all of your body weight, this would be the opposide side of the connector that the hose will butt up against. Just be careful to not slip, or let the fitting slip out of the vise, or you might hurt yourself. Also, try to push it on all in one motion. Stopping mid way always seems to make it header to make them move again. I've always used silicone spray inside of the hose and on the fitting to make it easier. Just be sure to start pushing before the liquid starts to evaporate. Remember to flush the lines when you're done. Hopefully this make sense to you.

Looks like it is only 27.95 at Speedway, but it will probably only help w/ the straight fittings. I only have 5 out of 12. The hose clamp might help for the 90*. I'm going to order one and try it out.

ive used a heat gun to soften up the hose...havent had a problem.
Ive also just put the fitting into a vise, but didnt clamp down..just put the hex and stuck the fitting inbetween the jaws as to have the fitting sitting verticle. Then i pushed straight down with my hand thumbs up. hose usually slides right on.

I got the tool in the mail the other day. It looks like it will work good for straight fittings, but as I expected the 90* are still going to be a PITA. The tool is made by Eaton.
