Im getting about 10 MPG and it pissing me of with gas being over 3 bucks a Gallon now, I am throwing SES codes last time I got it read it was the Driver side 02 sencor. Could this be my fuel problem? Can 02 sensor really mess up my MPG? im gonna switch them out with newm ones 80 bucks a pop! and try changing my plugs as well.. Seeing how last time i did that was in may of 05... Anyone got some input?

Not my foot, My g/f is driving it. She drives fine. Been throwing this stupid code for a while now my MPG is sucking.. And the cars exhaust smells of pure fuel. I changed sensors to brand new, Deleted the code and it came back on. I think maybe a wire is pinched because the computer is gettgin no response from my sensor. Or possibly i could be a problem with my 02 sims.. Tires are fine. Filter is cleaned, Iritating is what it is.. Try again tomorrow. But hoping its a pinched wire.

You might be running in limp mode, which will kill mileage. You need to have a scanner hooked up to see what exactly is goin on too. It is possible that for some reason you are seeing lots of knock retard. You could also have a fueling/ignition issue too.

Bad O2's can definitely cause bad gas mileage. When the pcm records a problem with an O2 sensor, it sends the car into safe mode, richening up the A/F to ensure that the car never goes lean. I would also look at the maf, IAC, IAT, and definitely get some scanning done. First things first though, change the O2's.

I changed the 02's last night deleted the codes it was throwing and it starting throwing more codes so im gonna go get the scan tool again and start from there. But this has been happening for a while, Eveer since i got my trany replaced the SES light came off and on now its stuck on and the MPG sucks ***. I think maybe they pinched a wire or something cam loose along there with the 02 sensor but im gonna go get the scanner today and start from there agian see what the deal is.. im about to get everything going just been a busy morning.

When your front sensors were out, they fed too much fuel into the engine, which led to your rears burning...
No offense, but what the heck are you doing driving around for "awhile" when you're car is throwing codes? When your block goes "crack" or "boom" prematurely, please remember this, as a code means that the ecm has read an error, and is trying to correct for it; in the case of O2 sensors, it means you'll be running extremely rich, and eventually when the rear sensors read the flooded conditions, you'll get momentary periods of lean conditions bad enough to cause huge misfires.
When a light comes on, get it checked right away; it'll save you a big headache in the end!

Rear O2's do nothing except monitor Catalytic converter efficency, they have no affect on fueling or anything else for that matter.
