installed 408 q on fuel system

Default installed 408 q on fuel system

I just installed a 408 with the heads and cam in my sig
I know that they are killing me but how much power am i losing w staying on stock fuel system car hasnt been tuned as well

What size injectors and fuel pump are you running?

currently it is stock 26lb injectors w stock fuel pump i do have the racetronix pump waiting to go in

you will push the stock injecotrs with the 408. Most people go with a intank 255l wlabro and larger injectors when stepping up to a 408. 42lb injectors are pretty typical with a 408.

Im hoping its fuel because it doesnt pull very hard up top
and i just barely beat a auto ls1 with headers exhaust lid and 3.73s

sound like you need to have the tune looked at. A good 408 should beat a typical heads and cam. Now if you were at the track then that is another story.

You are probably seriously lean up top, I have tuned some bolt-on F-bodies that touched 90% IDC. On a 408 I tuned for a buddy, I put racetronix 38#ers in there, they will flow 43lbs at 58psi, and his runs 73% IDC at 6500 rpms.

Ya im hoping that is the problem it was from a 45 roll
It feels like it has power until about 3500 then it just doesnt feel very fast at all

You need fuel big time you can hurt the motor running it lean. Get the pump in and get some bigger injectors.

you can definitely hurt the motor. it'll get too hot being so lean. hope you didn't run it in the high rpms for a long time. that motor is starving for fuel. pump and injectors ASAP!!
