Default racetronix start up issues

about 3 weeks ago I got my car back from the shop.I had heads and intake installed and Racetronix pump hotwire kit.Well it takes 2- 3 times to start it before it fires up,or i would have to prime the pump twice then start it up.I talked to Matt @ Harris Speed works where I bought it from and he said it was most likely the flex tube so i ordered another from Him and will reinstall next week.I just want to know has anyone had this problem and is it the flex tube or if it is not what else can it be.I E mailed Support@racetronix and got two messages saying we'll get back to you but have not heard back,so i thought I'd ask some of you and what did you do to fix it
thanks

HSW and Racetronix have provided you and will continue to provide you with all the info you require to diagnose your problem. HSW is able to provide all the same info as our support dept. so asking the same questions of both parties is redundant. Your installer should have access to a GM service manual and the proper tools to properly diagnose your fuel system.

the shop i go to has installed these pumps before with out issue and for some reason mine were having the issues stated above.HSW has been very helpfull, and prior to just receiving info back (today)from you guys I wanted to hear other areas to look to just incase the flex tube did not correct the problem as I mentioned in someone elses thread.I started this thread cause i did not want to hijack his it was in no way meant to attack you.I wanted to hear from other people that has had similar issues and what was done to correct it.As far as asking both parties, sorry but at the time i did not hear back from you guys and it turns out reading the e-mail there are other areas to check too. This is my daily driver and down time with the car is a concern thats why I asked both parties and posted this thread.Im not looking for blame rather solutions,as blame does not solve anything. The more solutions I have the quicker I can solve this.Sorry if you took this as an attack.I dont know if you did,but given your choice of wording(redundant)I would assume you were upset or just have POOR customer service skills.Im guessing you were upset because I would hope this is not the case.

The items we listed in our e-mail are very obvious. We would hope that any qualified shop would have checked these items before installing the pump the first time. Before turning to the forum for help you should work with your dealer. HSW and Racetronix or more than capable of supplying your installer with the required information to properly diagnose your problem. In fact your installer should have a GM service manual for your car or access to the GM tech web site which has a full rundown on how to properly diagnose your fuel system.

my car goes back in on wed.I have a new flex tube and a copy of the e mail that you sent as a reference as it offered solutions to diagnose, fix, resolve my issues and I'll have them call HSW for reference and help if need be.sorry if it bothered you if i had posted a thread it was not intended as an attack its just that this site has been very helpfull in the past, and like previously mentioned i do daily drive this so down time is a concern.Im not putting blame on anyone installer or product as that would not solve my issue.Ive talked to the installer and their thoughts and would reinstall but thought i should check with vendors manufacturer on what they thought it could be so that all parties can work together to resolve and make a customer(myself)happy.I think it was the fair thing to do.Sorry if it was misinturpret

I'll probably get slapped for saying this, but I read these sort of threads over and over again where Racetronix responds in the same manor and I find it pretty disturbing, to be honest. The guy wasn't making the post as a purpose for bashing, he was making a post looking for help. Other members, including myself, could provide insight and advice. I fail to see where he made a derogatory statement towards Racetronix or HSW. I just find the tone of the Racetronix responses a bit abrasive.

Of course, this thread will now probably be moved to the sponsor feedback section where nobody will see it now.

I was rather surprised myself for the response and choice of word used in Racetronix reply. As I mentioned in another persons thread Matt @ Harris has been VERY HELPFUL.My shop and myself thought it was a good idea to brainstorm with all parties (vendor, manufacturer, installer, customer). At the time I posted this thread I did not hear back from racetronix and thats why I posted this to ask for more help.It was not meant to humiliate, but rather to illuminate,or add light to the problems I(the customer) was having.I think when it comes down to it it should be a matter of making the customer pleased.Whether it was install related or product defect it was best to get all parties to work together to find a solution.Again Im not attacking anyone, just needed help.
