Anyone running the Weldon 2015 external pump?
Anyone have any experience with the Weldon 2015 pump? It's supposed to be good for over 1000 HP and I have been told that I can do some cruising with it too, but prolonged driving will require I buy a stepdeown box.

Nobody is running a Weldon 2015 pump?
I am going to get this for my car unless someone suggests a different pump that is substantially cheaper. The 2015 is like $650.

A buddy's truck I tune a lot has one, a few friends have used them with no problems (may have been 2025's too, not sure). Anyways, we haven't used a step down box on the one, but its a good idea. They seem to be damn stout pumps. One of my friends bought his years ago, ran his truck hard, let the truck sit for months on end, dry, go to start it up & use it extensively after a new buildup, worked fine. They are *noisy*.
The new boost sensitive MSD step down box is pretty trick, and I think Weldon makes a nice one.
I was also looking at the Magnaflow pumps, I believe those have been used by Ford guys.

I'm using the 2025 with the dial a flow pump controller. It works great on the street. The only problem I ever had was last year at the Woodward dream cruise. We were basically idling in traffic for about 4 hours, and the fuel got hot. The fuel tank was nearly too hot to touch The car still ran, but it was surging. It was kinda cool because the turbos were making a wicked whistling sound when it surged
I would definitely recommend Weldon products.

Brady, I picked up a used 2025 last night for a very good price. Thanks for the pic link, how do you have the pump bolted to the car?

The pump isn't bolted to the car. I built a mounting bracket that bolted to the pump, and slid into the drivers side factory tailpipe hanger. The pump is way quieter when it isn't transmitting noise via the body. It can't come out either, I had hell getting it in there.
