Default 98 fuel "sender" unit in a 99+ tank?

Has anyone ever put a '98 style fuel "sender" unit in a '99+ tank? I'm talking about the whole big mess that comes outta the tank.

Thanks

John

Alright, got info that this is not possible.

Evidently it's "Not even close" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Why won't it work? Is it because the lines come out at differant angles? I was hoping to swap a 99 tank into my 98.

Just what I heard from Racetronix. I didn't get an explanation.

Speed Inc. sells a nice tank though. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

What about a 99 tank/sender into a 98 car?

99+ sendors kinda twist in where as 98 sendors are bolted on.
