When do I need to upgrade my fuel system? Hey, I'm getting started with doing mods on my camaro and I'm wondering when I'd need to think about upgrading the fuel system? How far would I get before I start taxing the OEM system? Thanks for the help guys.
Re: When do I need to upgrade my fuel system? About 475 rwhp all-motor, and you should go with some slightly larger injectors.
I'd suggest an upgraded fuel pump after about 525 rwhp all-motor.

Re: When do I need to upgrade my fuel system? Well from what I have seen you need to go with a bigger pump at the 450rwhp level. I know many get away with more but this is just what I have seen. While you are at you may as well run thicker gauge wiring to the battery to get a little more out of your pump. Injectors are the next step, depending on the year model of the car it may be differnt ( 98s & 01-02s have the 28# injectors, 99-00 have 24#). Then you should look at rails, lines, and external FP regulator. www.ls1speed.com carries a good line.
