Stock fuel pump whine
Stock fuel pump whine My brothers 98 TA stock fuel pump started whining alot louder than usual today...does that mean its going out? The car is stock...I was just wandering if this is a sign that is is going out.
Re: Stock fuel pump whine Man, mine started whisteling the other night. Mine is also a 98. I need to do some research, looks like alot of 98's are having this problem. Oh by the way, it started after a 50 shot of nitrous. Not a big shot, but may have done it for my pump. The car seems to be driving ok, but i guess the end may be here soon? Anyone else have input?

Re: Stock fuel pump whine If the pump gets hot it will whine and also if you drive around with 1/4 tank of gas its going to whine (cavitation). My whined from day one under those conditions drove it for two years that way. Know just have a walbro 340, that was put in to support the twin turbo, not because the stock was going out.
