Default running out of gas...

My check gages light turns on right before it runs out. can this be a bad sensior? or is there a way to program the pcm to turn the light on sooner? I always read my gages but some times... i get to the point that if i had the light pop on sooner will be nice. any ideas?

Hrmmm, mine comes on and gives me PLENTY of time before I run out. On the other hand, I've never pushed my luck once the light comes on.

Whoops... forgot my suggestion. I don't know for sure, but LS1edit MIGHT have the ability to turn that light on sooner. I can't say for sure, but you'd have to check with someone very familiar with the system.

We have a low fuel light?

I also fill up at about 1/4 tank.

my light comes on as soon as the needle hits the red spot in the gauge. As soon as this happens i fill up. But just so u know when i worked in the dealership, i noticed that the blazers did that to. the check gauges light came on for fuel and u were only able to drive about two blocks before u stalled

with the way these cars fuel pumps are cooled by the gas in the tank, i reccomend filling up at 1/4 of a tank, if not before.

In the last 12K i have put on my car in 6 months, i have never seen a light come on cause of gas.

Ryan.
