power is awesome and no issues with the rubber drying out and the pump not getting the right lube. thats what the 15% gasoline is for. lol. but seriously isnt that what its for? my tuner has been running it in his 92 chevy wagon thats completly stock with no issues for months.

The octane rating is also higher for the E85 than unleaded. Here it is 104 and you can get away with more timing.

E85 holds moisture very bad. Therefor anything that is steel will corrode VERY rapidly. Why are people doing conversions? What is the advantage???

higher octane rating is the advantage, it is like race gas at the pump.

I think the main reason it to denature it, because E100 (100% Ethanol) is drinkable. When they add 15% gasoline to it then it is undrinkable. E100 is 113 octane. E100 is what is used by the Indy cars.

Stainless steal will no corrode. E85 is around 105 octane and is priced less than 85 octane gasoline. With the proper settup the 105 octane rating can be taken atvantage of just like race gas. E85 will also make your engine run cooler.

In flex fuel vehicles see a 10-15% increase in HP when using E85 instead of gasoline and they are not even optimized to run on only ethanol. I am sure if they could up the compression and only run on ethanol there would be more power to be had.

It is much cheaper than race gas.

Your engine runs cooler and cleaner.

I think it's more of a central area thing where they grow the corn. I don't know of any within Florida. I wish we could get it around here. That would be awesome.

Ive been waiting for a long time for someone to build a E85 station here in Orlando so I can convert my car. That closest one is in Gainsville and is a private station.

Read the link in my sig.

All you need is bigger injectors (i maxed mine at around 70% E85) and a tune.
