Default FP gauge

What kind of fitting do I need to connect my autometer full sweep electric FP gauge to the fuel rail? The sending unit is 1/8NPT male.

Thanks,
Justin

Justin, I'm not sure how into 'asthetics' you are but instead of installing the sending unit off the end of the rail, I removed my pulse damper and machined a piece of billet aluminum with an o-ring groove to go in the damper spot. It is installed and retained just like the damper would be. Then I drilled a hole in the center and tapped it out to accept the 1/8NPT and screwed my sending unit into that. Not only does it free up the restriction of the damper but it looks alot cleaner in the engine bay. I dont have pics but I can get some and email them to you if you'd like.

I don't really understand that, a pic would help.

It seems like a need a 1/8NTP female to 1/8NPT female to connect it to the rail but can't find this anywhere.

Remove the valve core from the fuel rail test point and use a -4AN - 1/8 NPT adapter.

you could use one of the billet rails like what is used for the nitrous kits. (FPSS, Guage on the bottle, purge solenoid, etc)

I did exactly what JNorris said. Works like a champ and I think it looks factory.

Good deal. That's the exact same thing I will be doing whenever I finally get around to buying one of those guages. My FPSS is still sitting here on the desk waiting to be installed. Haven't been too worried about it when running the 75 shot, but now since I had a n2o solenoid stick open, I think when I get around to reinstalling the new solenoid and jetting up to a 150 shot, I'll go ahead and install that switch. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I had the same problem finding people who had part numbers, etc. They all said, "do what I did", show a picture, but wouldn't give detail on parts.

Here's a post I made where I list part numbers and instructions on how to come off the fuel rail with a right angle connection.
