Is running out of injector that bad?
Is running out of injector that bad? My cam only car with 26lb. injectors maxes out injector duty (100% duty) at 5600rpm. With my TR230 it would be optimal to shift at 6500rpm. At that point (6500) my car is at a 13.9 A/F ratio with a 115% injector duty. To me that looks a little too lean for my tastes. Is there really any risk running the car like that or am I ok? A friend ran this exact set up in his car for 3 years with no problems but of course all cars are different. Plus my injectors have 127k miles on them if that means anything.
all cars are different along with the same fact being for every product being different.
if a human made it... at some point its either broke, going to break, has already broken, or is damn sure on its way to breaking.
honestly, i would just invest in some bigger injectors. some 3x#ers or so would do you fine. 13.9 is LEAN.... you could make more power i would think if you would richen it up a little. my car made the most power at 13.4 (when i was N/A)...and again, all cars are different but things do happen.
the way i see it, buy some injectors, it won't hurt you and you could only possibly gain power and stability. Also IF you do buy injectors, get DISC style not the pintle.

+1 to above, you can slow down a bigger injector within reasonable limits, but one you max out an injector its time to upgrade, it is my understanding that you shouldn't have to run a injecter above 80-85 % of its max duty cycle.
kind of odd, i wouldn't think that you would run out of fuel that fast w/ your mods. Change the fuel filter first, and see if things change. Mabye you're not getting enough flow if it's clogged.
