HEADS/CAM AND 26LB. INJECTORS Im fixin to put tr224 in car over t1. i will be doing heads by winter. will the 26s handle this? i have had any problems so far with current setup.mods in sig. thanks for any info you can give me. jason

Re: HEADS/CAM AND 26LB. INJECTORS I posted about this a couple weeks ago, I think with the 26lb/hr injectors you will be pushing the duty cycle over 100% at higher rpm's. I'm in the same boat you are, I just bought a set of LS6 injectors which are 28.8lb/hr and I'm going to be installing them. They are generally good to about 450rwhp. If I were you I'd atleast upgrade to some '98, 2001, 2002, or LS6 injectors, all are 28.8lb/hr.

You will see the 26.4 lb injectors are rated at 58 psig or 22.9 lb at 43.5 psig are not good much past stock and that is at 100% duty cycle. If you use a conservative .5 on bsfc you get the 26.4 lb injectors are rated at 340 fwhp at 80% duty cycle (maximum recommended by any injector manufacturer). If you go to 100% duty cycle you are up to 425 fwhp. If you use a less conservative or just unrealistic .45 bsfc and 100% duty cycle you could get 470 fwhp. The computer could probably learn to the 28 lb injectors at idle, but the WOT will probably be a little rich.
