Default Injectors that do not require splicing the harness

Many of you guys are using SVO injectors, but are there any fuel injectors that can be used without having to splice the injector harness?

no modification required for svo injectors.. you were mis-informed. maybe they were talking about re-tuning the computer, which is necessary for any proper injector upgrade

any injectors you see as of now rated over say 57#/hr would not work without wiring in a converter box.

I guess I was misinformed, but in this case it was a good thing. So all of the SVO injectors plug right in to the stock harness, cool. SVO injectors it is

The f and Y cars can use standard BOSCH connectored injectors, like the SVO's.

However, i have heard the trucks have a different harness?

Might want to double check that, and make sure in your post, you list if for a truck or car.

trucks are diferent, they use some kind of mini injector, they are a diferent height and have a diferent conector. prety sure the 8.1's come with a 30lb unit you can stick right in there and RC engenering sells a 41lb unit that plugs right in there. these ratings are both at our actual fuel presure of 58psi. those 41lb units are VERY expensive, like $600 or so.

shoot, my bad, i thought we were talking about f'bods here. i dunno trucks but im curious why bother with changing injector styles?

the stock ls1 injectors are way skinnier than svo's as well but the critical dimensions are identical as well as electrical hookup.

so, parish, what has to be done to the truck harness to make say an SV0 30# injector work? i'm looking to put those in with the 6.0. how hard is the swap and what all is needed?

Ya, my bad. It is for a truck running boost. I need more injector than the 21 pounders. The stock ones are going to fade soon with 136% duty cycle (some number that I don't even think is possible)
