Removing rubber hose from Evap solenoid
I'm trying to remove the rubber hose from the back of the evap solenoid attached to the intake manifold. It looks like there is a hard plastic line under the rubber hose.
Are the tangs on the plastic inserts just really long and the rubber hose can be pulled off or is there some other trick.
Also, I'm replacing the rubber hose with braided as I'm installing new fuel rails with braided feed. Any need to put the evap port back on? It's just a test port for the emissions system isn't it?

Thanks man
Good write up and I think I see the trick.
You mentioned that you have to squeeze the oval connector until it's round and then you can remove the rubber lines from the solenoid and hard line.
Correct?
thanks again,
Harry

yeah, basically its a quick connect where the oval side is. but its a bit of a pain in the *** on the manifold side. those connections are tricky. i basically just broke mine cause i wasn't usin that again
