Default Fuel Pump going out????

Sup guys.... haven't been on the board for a long time. Good to be back.... well maybe not. lolol. Anyway, I think my fuel pump is going out. Last night I went to work and noticed my fuel pressure was down to 45psi. When I stomped on it, it dropped drastically. Drove for about 30 minutes and stopped. When I turned the car back up the fuel pressure was back to normal so I figured it was some junk in the line. But the same thing happened this morning and after a stop for awhile went back to normal again. Nope..... haven't changed the filter in awhile but don't think its that.

thanks

Check fuel sensor.

Change the filter - tip upside down and hold a lighter close. If it flames you are good, if it doesn't = water from bad gas or condensation.

Adjust TB blade and idle to see if it smooths out.

Doesn't sound like the pump per se, if you are hearing it when you turn the key then it could be something else.

Thanks for the tip. When you say fuel sensor....you're refering to the sending unit to the gauge??

most of the time when fuel pressure start falling off @ wot. it's the pump, providing the system don't have any leaks and the ff. is good. same thing just happend to me on my fi car.
