Can you Siphon drain a LS1 F-Body Fuel Tank?
My rear end is going out and since I'm going to replace it, I'm also going to replace my stock fuel pump with a Racetronix Fuel pump.
I have about 3/4 tank of fuel in the tank now, can I put a small tube down the filler neck to siphon out the fuel to make removing the tank easier?
Reason I ask is because I heard some GM cars have a check valve in the filler neck and will prevent you from siphoning the tank.
Thanks in advance....

If you know anyone who has a fuel pressure gauge, you can just
connect it to your fuel rail, and run power to the pump (underhood
fuse), it will pump it out for ya. I dont recall if there is a check valve. I've always used my gauge though.

I've siphoned my tank. The siphon tube will catch on the metal flapper that seals the filler neck. I didn't get it all out, but enough to lighten it so you can drop it easy.
