Not sure, but I think 98s had the 28lb, but 99 and 00 had the 26lb.

Ive got a 2000 going with a vengeance x3 cam 226/228 .58something lift. 26lb injectors. My buddy has this cam also and his stock 98 vette injectors were maxxed out. So not sure if my 26lbs will work. The injector sticky shows me needing 37lb injectors bc people are right around 400rwhp with long tubes this cam and ls6 intake. Anyone have expreience that can help us injector noobs out?

From my experience, using stock 28lbs injectors will be ok for upto 420rwhp, but at 95% duty cycle! If you plan on using nitrous or adding any more mods, I would highly suggest using larger injectors. Typically people that use a 224 cam go with SVO 30lbs injectors (rated at 36lbs when used on GMs). These see about 80% to 85% duty cycle on cars putting down anywhere from 400rwhp to 450rwhp. If you are only drag racing, no street or roll racing or road racing, then you can get away with 28lbs injectors without worry of damaging the injectors. The 26lbs injectors will be at, if not over 100% (commanded) duty cycle. So no on those.

Cool, very informative. So even with stock heads SVO 30lbs are a good idea with a cam and supporting mods on a street car.

Thanks, looks like I need some SVO injectors, because I do want to Auto-X now and then. Not to mention it's to hard to stay out of the damn throttle on the street.
