Default Fuel problem

Hey guys I have a 99 z28 that has trouble starting untill you give it gas. I did a fuel pressure test on it and found that when you hit the key it goes to 60lbs then drops very quickly to about 5lbs. Im wondering if my pump is no longer any good? Any opinions? If thats the case I was planning to upgrade to the racetronix kit w/ the walbro, is there anything I should know before jumpin into it? Thanks.

It is either the pump, regulator or an internal fuel leak causing the pressure to drop quickly. It is hard to tell without physically inspecting the pump assembly.

Thanks for the response, i read somewhere that the regulator is mounted w/ the pump? Is that true, cuz i cant find it on the rail or even a return line for that matter?

You are correct it is mounted on the pump assembly. It is a returnless system.
