Question Minor Start/Fuel Problem?

Recently I have had trouble starting my car. I have to crank and crank, take a break, crank some more, then out of no where it will just start right up.

I have had some minor surging at low rpms, but I figure that this is just a tune issue. But I am starting to think it may be something else?

I have had a new fuel pump replaced this time last year, but have only run my current set-up (sig) for about 6-7 months on the pump.

Just looking for some ideas maybe what could be going on??

Also if I have to get a higher flow pump, I want to get one that does not go in the tank, so if I do get one, do I have to bypass the one in the cell or can I just use the connection for the new pump and leave it be?

My car was sort of doing that when I first got it. I would have to turn the key forward to on position for moment then crank it. Sometimes I would have to give it a little gas to keep the car on for a sec then after it would be fine.

I just had some stuff powdercoated and I removed the throttlebody and cleaned it real good. After putting it back together my car starts right away. No having to crank repeatedly and I don't have to step on the gas at start up to keep it on.

Think I may have found the problem... busted vacuum line. Going to replace in the morning.

I bet it's that damn vacuum line that connects to the pcv valve to the throttle body. All 3 of mine burned a hole within 3 years and threw me for a loop until I introduce brake cleaner to the top side of the engine! Gotcha biatch. lol
