Default Ugly fuel rails (pics)

Just purchased an Eldebrock Victor Jr. EFI manifold. When I open the box and unraped the fuels rails They are a ugly *** greenish/ brown! Anyone else got these? I called Eldebrock, and they said they went to hard anodized so you can run E-85. I like the look of the natural ones better. But I might run E-85 too. So, I guess I'll have to break out the oven cleaner.

Oven cleaner will strip the anodizing and give you a natural finish.

It would be a lot easier if you painted your car to match the rails Maybe its just the picture, but they don't look too bad.

They are kind of a weird color. I like the natural ones better, but they don't look that bad.

you can even wire brush them if you want a real nice look. the anodizing is a process with virtually no color, they follow the anodizing with a dye process.

Hard anodizing is a badass coating. I'd keep the coating and paint them.

Im trying to keep everything under the hood mono chrome (no color) Everything will be either black, chrome, polished AL, billet, or cast. The only color under the hood will be the firewall, ineer fenders, and radiator support. Which will be yellow.

Im gonna remove the anodizing off the outside and polish the rails, leaving the anodizing on the inside so I can run E-85 if I wish. I removed the red off my fuel regulator with oven cleaner, and it turned out great! It might take a little more time, but I think the look is worth it in the end.

Post up some pics when you get them done, I have the same rails, and don't like the color either.
