I have my tank out and replaced the stock pump with a Racetronix Fuel Pump System.

While my tank is out of the car, I am thinking of just going ahead and cutting for the trap door. I thought I would never do this but after having the tank out and looking at everything, if my pump ever goes out, the trap door method would be more ideal than dropping the tank, especially if I have close to a full tank of gas. It doesn't seem like it would "weaken" the body at all.

Anyone have any good links/pics that show exactly where to cut for a 99-02 F-Body? I searched some but seemed to find the ones for the LT1 cars.

Bill, come over and look at mine. I can have the carpet off and the door exposed in about five minutes.

 

I got it done this weekend. I already had the tank out so cutting was pretty easy. I'll be posting my pics later this week.
