Default Quick disconnect for feed and return at tank?

Can I use the Russell 640850 quick disconnect adapter to connect my feed and return line back at the tank to the hard lines that come out of the tank?

The lines that come out of the tank are not hard lines, they are plastic. The only hard lines are along the frame rail. The stock feed line is 3/8, and the stock EVAP line (which you can use as a return with a little modification) is 5/16.
