Stock Injector Issues

sediment in the front-most injectors (rust from
inside the fuel line, from the looks of it).
If your #1 and #2 are the first to go, this is
the way to bet. The fuel filter can't help you
with this because any fuel that goes forward of
the regulator, never sees the tank or filter
again. Seen / fixed this on a Ford and on a
Porsche, driver's front injector dribbles like
a geezer and the rest are happy little racehorses.
On the Ford this was well under 50K miles. I think
that at the major service interval (30K) an
injector flow balance test is in order.
This kind of imbalance can bring on knock retard
and significant power loss through gross mixture
error (lean) in an isolated cylinder.
