Exclamation URGENT, need help with a fuel issue.

Well, I've spent the last 3 weeks working on my car to get ready to go do the final AX of the season tomorrow. During that time I've fired the car up a few times and it has always fired right up.

Today I got it back on the ground, and started it, then it stalled. I waited a little bit, fired it back up, blipped the throttle a bit and pulled it out of the garage to wash it.

After I washed it I was going to buzz up and down the street a bit and load it up. I get in turn the key, it fires up for a second and then dies.

Now it will not start at all, it's not even coughing like it's trying to start. The reason I think it's a fuel pump issue is the car has a Walbro 255lph fuel pump, and I usually hear it whining when it is running, but right now I'm not hearing the fuel pump run when I turn the ignition on with the key.

I looked at all of the fuses in the block and don't see any blown fuses, and I pulled the cover in the back to check the lines and wiring, which all looks fine.

I need any ideas to try to diagnose the problem, unfortunately I don't have a fuel pressure gauge on the injection, something I plan to rectify, so I don't really know if I have no fuel pressure or not. The way it fired up and ran for a little bit though makes me think it just burned off the remaining fuel pressure already in the lines and now has no fuel pressure.

I got lucky, that's exactly what it turned out to be. I ran and picked up another one and to my relief the car fired right up. I'll be buying another one and keeping it in my spares for the track. I would hate to have that happen at the track a couple hours from home after spending a few hundred bucks for a DE.

Glad to hear ya got it running... You can get a simple FPG from any of the vendors with an attatchement for ~50 bucks that connects to the shrader valve on your rail.. That would have showed ya you had no pressure and maybe save some time.

You can also always take another relay from a devise you don't need like the horn or the heater or something for temporary use to get you back home or wherever. Glad it was just a relay. Its crazy all of the things that start running through your head when something like that happens!
