Default Inline Fuel pump mounting

Im running a fuel cell in the trunk. I have a inline fuel pump should i mount it as close to the cell or in the middle of the car on the frame? Is it ok if its lower then the pump? THanks

As close to the cell as you can feed with the biggest hose you can and under the tank is preferred.

It has a -12an Feed to the pump.
