Default 42# about right?

OK, here is my plan. I've got a '00 S10 with a worn out 2.2

I've already purchased:

1. 5.3l truck engine
2. 4l80 trans
3. ECM and wiring harness from the truck that donated the trans.
4. Fbody intake and fuel rail.
5. T70 turbo.

my question is what size injectors would you guys suggest?
I don't plan on running more that about 10lbs boost, and I'm hoping for around 400HP.

Thanks

42's are good for 400HP, but you could go smaller. For the price of 42's id stick with them.

On a 5.3 I would go 50's just to be on the safe side , plus it will leave a little more room for a little extra boost. Just my .02 cents.

On the safe side?? He only plans on pushing 400 HP, thats nowhere near 80% on a 42.

Yes on the safe side. He also said that he wants to run about 10 lbs of boost. And if i'm not mistaken 10lbs. of boost on a 5.7 = about 550 to 600 hp. Also most guys running 10 lbs. of boost are usually running 60 lb. injectors. So on a 5.3 he should be fine with 50lb. injectors and also have room to grow.
