Default 100 octane unleaded

I found a place where i can purchase 100 octane unleaded.I have a lid and a catback.

Would you run this in your car when racing?

I would do a mix for shure. Do you get detonation at WOT? Whats the highest octane you can get at the pump? I can only get 91 so I usualy mix a couple gallons in to make 94 octane.

I would not use 100 octane with your mods.

You should do a converter first like I have said in other threads.

Everyone here is right on the $$$.

With your mods higher octane will only help you if you are getting some knock retard due to detonation. If your car does not get KR on the pump gas that you are using then there is no point to use a higher octane.

Pro Stock John,
It is very difficult for me to determine if a stall converter is what i really want, beings that i've never had one, i don't know what i would be getting myself in to.

I want to keep the car totally streetable so the wife can cruise in it also, she loves driving the T/A.

I've had many people tell me that i would lose the streetability of the car if i go with a stall. They say it may feel "not quite right" while driving at low speeds.

I'm really not sure what to do,so many different opinions.Another thing i have to take in to consideration is...You guys are total RACE HEADS.I don't even want headers or cam anymore...just 12s would be cool for now.

Thanks for the advise everyone on the octane issue.

Moderator..you may want to put in different section. Thanks
