Hey i saw kool did the injector size thing. Ls1s dont run at that fuel pressure they run sig higher, i beleive 58 psi or somewhere around there ( has been a few months ) do a search for ls1 fuel pressure and change that variable and youll see you dont need as big of an injector. ls1s use small injectors with high pressure as compared to say a 5.0 stang or something

Sorry, I must not have caught that. I am looking for $250 shipped out of them. (They are $300+ shipping new).

I purposefully ran them at the lower pressure and stated that the 30# injectors that I recomended would flow 36#. The presumption was everyone was not a complete noob and realized the injectors flowed more (36#) because the stock pressure is 58PSI. Thanks so much for correcting me
Ive used the 30# red tops, 42# green tops, 50# delphi and 60# motrons in LS engines and you have used?

The table I posted was for the 39.1 psi that someone above posted. I hope that is correct (the 39.1) because that is the conversion psi that I used. I thought it was supposed to be 43psi and that would change the numbers again. So look it up and see what the 30# redtop svo are rated at.

Jonas, go with the 42#'s. I went 30# after I asked a sponsor if I should buy their 38#'s instead ($20 cheaper actually) and they said no. Well....they can handle 450rwhp and all....but if you EVER plan to put a nitrous kit on it, you'll be forced to go with a wet shot unless you upgrade the injectors then.

42#'s can be made to idle and drive just like stock. Guys can make 60#'s idle perfect and not dump fuel, so 42#'s aren't a problem. I'm going 60# for next year because I'm going D1SC, but I was going to use 60#'s anyways to handle a nice healthy dry shot.

I don't think the price difference is that large between 30# and 42#. Might as well spend the money once and not have to worry about upgrading down the road. (Speed Inc has the 60#'s for $360 right now even...could just do those and not have to upgrade even if you decide to go boost down the road).

i beleive that i am going to go with the 42# injectors. Do it once and do it right.

I need to compensate for my 98% duty cycle.

So what brand do you all recommend for the 42# injectors? Also do i need high impedence, or low impedence? And what is the difference?

Just go with the ford SVO 42# injectors. I believe they are green tops.

Stock PCMs use high impedance. To use low impedance, you need a separate injector driver.

I just got SVO 30#s from speed inc for 300 shipped. Every sponsor I talked to said they would work fine and I have heads, cam, and fast 90/90.

They'll work fine if that's all you can foresee yourself doing with your car, but they leave you NO room to upgrade in the future for a dry shot or boost. At least with 42#'s you can run a healthy dry shot or some mild boost.

Or even a bigger motor down the road. If you want to build a healthy N/A 408 some day, the 30#'s would be too small...

if i plan to stay cam only and maybe do heads and intake down the road. 42#s would be fine for me?

I am going to check on Ebay for Lightining 42#s or Green Tops.....

Yep, and I don't know where you go for your tuning, but any of the "big 3" around here will be able to tune with those easily.
