Default Will #2 sealant work on fuel connections?

I want to put something on the threads of my fuel lines to ensure that the fuel system is leak proof. Will that number 2 non hardening(I used it to seal headbolts on my LT1 enginez)sealant work? It says it resists gasoline..so I just wanted to make sure before I used it.

If you're talking about -AN fittings, don't use any sealant. They won't leak unless you've done something wrong.

If you're referring to pipe threads, you should use something, but i'd use teflon tape if that were the case.

I use this stuff for fuel all the time, I like it better than teflon tape. Never had a problem with it leaking. If I am out of #2 then I use rector-seal, which is a plumbers sealer.

As already stated...NO sealer on flare surfaces.

Well on the flare surface I just use literally a pin drop just to cover one or 2 threads..none of it goes anywhere near the mating surface.
