Default Walbro 255 GSS340 Intank question....

ok i have installed th pump..it's been a while actually lol..but my question is..the stock fuel line is accordian type..i ditched it and ran solid 5/16" fuel linefrom the pump to the top pick up or whatever..is this ok?..because the stock set up has that springy set up lol..what is that purpose?...because the 5/16" fuel line doesnt let it have the spring action of the pump housing...also..there is a little clear plastic tube running to the stock pump with a brass nipple to hook to...the walboro didnt have the nipple...so i just shoved that tube into the hole next to the fuel line where it looked like it should go lol...is this right?..what would be the bad result of this not being hooked up or if i put it in that hole? thank's,

Carter

you are in the clear, once you get the pump into place, that spring does not move.

the other tube is just a fuel return and you can do anything you want with that, just don't block it.
