Default Need advice on intank and inline pumps for my application...

382 stroker built by MTI, X1 cam, stg 2 heads...should be about 525 hp at the crank with about 540 tq. I have stock fuel system so far and it runs ok. I am going to spray it with the NXL (if it ever comes out), probably 150-200 shot. I know I am on the "borderline" now with stock fuel pump and injectors. I have a TREX that is not yet installed. I am hoping for the Racetronix unit in tank for 99+ LS1 to come out soon. Will EITHER one do for what I want or will I need both??? I will dyno it soon to check AF ratio to make sure stock fuel system is handling the power I am at now. What should AF's be for NA car? Anything wlse I should look for on dyno run (Mustang dyno)?

I like the TREX and have seen it work great on other cars but it is so LOUD that I may not use it. ANy thoughts? I will use stock injectors for now (unless dyno info points to needing bigger ones). I will probably get 30 lb SVO's when I need to replace them. Will an injector swap need tuning, and if so, can it be done just with computer or would MTI need whole car to run on dyno?

Thanks,

SDB

The T-Rex is not so great. The Walbro GSL392 flows more at 255L/Hr and it is super quiet.

RACETRONIX.....Do you think that just your intank unit would do what I need it do do with a 200 hp wet shot on top of my current combo??? Any idea of when the intank unit will be available? I would love to stay away from too much noise (i.e. T-Rex)....but I am not sure if an intank unit alone will feed 650+ rwhp with no dip in FP. ANy thoughts would be welcome.

Even with our DP system you will experience FP drop under WOT because the FP regulator is at the back of the car instead of at the rail. It is best to relocate the FP regulator at the front of the car.

A single in-tank system will support upwards of 600RWHP as More Performance has proven with our prototype systems.

There is the option of twin in-line Walbro GSL392 pumps and a Racetronix harness which will support upwards of 1000HP using -8 lines.

Does anyone make a kit to relocate the FP regulator to the front of the car? Do you have a date on when you new intank unit (for 99+ LS1) will be ready for sale. I may just send back the TREX and do an intank. Thanks,

P.S.,

What injectors do yu think I would nedd with my described setup?

i dont beleive there is a kit to relocate it.
you could call speed inc and they will put together all the parts you need for it (thats what i did)

i will be documenting my install of two walbros and external regolator for 99+ cars.
mighty mouse has some good pics on his 98 car, which i am doing similar.

tanks for the reply, i will look forward to seeing your set up. I would imagine that a good intank unit will be good enough for me with a small shot, and maybe an additional inline would do the trick for a 200-300 shot.
