Default Fast/DFI

Looking for information on this set-up. Can someone post a website or refer me to someone that has experience with these set-ups. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks

Does it replace the factory PCM? What if any componets does this replace (PCM,LS1edit,injectors,throttle body, etc.) How hard is it to learn to use/install? What's included with the system. How much did the set-up run?

I am building a fresh 427 and am shooting for 500+ RWHP N/A. Once I get the motor dialed in I am planning to spray 250 - 300 to it through a fogger. I don't know much about the FAST system and don't really know if my set-up would beneifet from it, or would my money be better spent somewhere else. How do you like the system on your car? Did you see any performance gain dyno/E.T. Any advise is much appreciated.
Thanks

Talk to Jay@Billingsley Racing, I believe he's pretty expierenced with these (mostly on LT1's) but I think he seems to sell them for the cheapest also.

dont know if anyone has made it work yet or not, but gen 7 dfi wont work with coil on plug like a ls1. accel says there is no market for ls1 cars....guess they dont come on here much.

Cartek has made an adapter so that the FAST does the fueling and wb02 part of it and the stock PCM does everything else such as timing, emissions, cruise, gauges, etc

If you would like the FAST to do everything and not use your stock PCM at all that is doable as well, you'll have to use their Edist box with the race harness and you'll be ok. Problem with that though is now everything the stock pcm did is lost

Like jimy said , Cartek did my car and it runs like a top. However I dont know if you would really benefit. There are guys out there makeing that kind of power on the stock ocm because the biggest issue is the fuel. And with the fogger the fuel comes in after the mas air so you wont be maxing that out. I did it because I was making 600 rwhp and maxed out the mass air.

CAll Dave at CARTEK and tell him you where asking about it 908-654-9993

I have been hearing from an internal source at ACCEL that DFI gen 7 for the LS1 is coming out soon... We'll see.

500rwhp + nitrous = you don't necessarily need an aftermarket engine management system. Now if you wanted to spray a 300 shot of DRY nitrous that might be a different story.

Two of the biggest reasons for getting a FAST system:
1) FAST will will low impedance injectors, the big ones
2) Eliminates MAF, goes to speed density setup, ideal for big boost setups

Of our sponsors, Billingsley Racing, Cartek, and Madman all have recent experience with FAST.
